The Michael Wainwright USA Borealis collection is clay with a really cool crystal glaze, finished with 24k gold or platinum, and handmade in Western Massachusetts by Michael himself.  The trays are perfect as a cheese tray, for serving veggies, or just as décor.

Each piece can be dramatically different from the next and has its own unique pattern.  These pieces are food safe and have a durable finish that is safe to cut on.

Hand washing is recommended, not for use in a microwave.
